My interest in physiotherapy started when I was at school.
I joined the rowing team and various crew members were having physiotherapy. I was fascinated by how the body worked and what we could do to fix ourselves.
I went on to study physiotherapy at King’s College, London, where I also coxed for the University of London.
After graduating, I completed my core rotations in the NHS and realised that musculoskeletal physiotherapy was the specialism I wanted to work in. I went on to work for the MoD for several years.
I am very proud to have completed an MSc in Sports and Exercise Medicine, especially since I had two children in the middle of undertaking it! The skills I have learned from this and the many postgraduate courses I have undertaken, allow me to provide a high standard of care to my patients. Physiotherapy is a constantly evolving practice and I am always keen to further my knowledge!
I have more recently developed a passion for Pilates. Having undertaken the APPI training course I noticed how much benefit practising Pilates regularly had on my life and I managed to knock minutes off my 10km running time! Running and cycling are my main hobbies, and I completed the Paris marathon last year.
I have recently settled with my family in South Gloucestershire and am excited to be joining the team at Courtyard clinic!
