James Forrester-Wood
Chiropractor
Biography
Meet James
I have been a Chiropractor for over 20 years, graduating in 2002 from the Anglo-European College of Chiropractic in Bournemouth. Coming from a medical family, I suppose I was destined to work in the healthcare field. I have always been fascinated by the complexities of the human body — how it works, how it falters, and how it can be repaired.
I considered studying Medicine, Osteopathy, Physiotherapy or Chiropractic, but Chiropractic interested me the most. After five years of study, I qualified as a Chiropractor and began a career that has taken me through many different clinical settings, from small single-practitioner clinics to large multidisciplinary practices. I also had the unique experience of providing chiropractic care in an industrial setting while working at HUM (Honda UK Manufacturing) in Swindon.
Throughout these varied roles, I have stayed true to my core principle of providing evidence-based treatment to restore function and resolve symptoms. I have trained in a range of techniques including Dry Needling (medical acupuncture), KT taping and extremity adjusting. Every treatment plan is tailored to the individual, recognising that what works for one person may not work for another.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my partner Claire and our two young daughters, Esme and Zoë. I’m an avid Gloucester Rugby supporter and enjoy following various motorsports.
