Meet Sarah
I have a varied background with my first career as a Registered Veterinary Nurse for 20 years. After having my two daughters, I embarked on coaching gymnastics, before moving on to teaching Acrobatics Arts to dancers in a local dance school. I have always been active, with my latest venture into ultra running alongside obstacle racing!
Through my own experiences and those of the children I coached, I developed a keen interest in how to approach pain and injury, leading me to a complete career change in 2016 as a Clinical Sports & Remedial Massage Therapist. This title later changed to Soft Tissue Therapy to better describe what we do. Whilst I have broad interests in the variety of clients I see, I have also developed a keen interest in treating children and adolescents with growth and activity related pain and injury. Completing a course with the well-renowned Angela Jackson and providing treatments with the dance school I used to work in.
Compounded by my own experience, I also run a monthly menopause cafe and have a special interest in treating women and helping them navigate through the aches and pains associated with declining hormones. I have also completed the same training module aimed at healthcare professionals to enable better signposting around peri/post menopause. My treatments and advice are constantly evolving to stay up to date with the latest evidence and give the very best to my clients.
I hold a level 2 in gym instructing and am now working towards a level 4 in strength and conditioning. I have also completed the certificate in mental health first aid. I am an active member for my professional association and enjoy the role of assistant tutor with The School of Soft Tissue Therapy.
In addition to all of the above, if it wasn’t enough already, I also offer pregnancy massage.
