What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a health profession concerned with the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of joints, muscles and their effects on the nervous system, and general well-being of people of all ages.

Common Conditions

Traditionally, chiropractors are seen to treat “spines” but evidence based research shows they can successfully treat a wide range of conditions covering all areas of the body.

This can include headaches, neck and shoulder strains, other general back, neck and shoulder pain and pain from osteoarthritis.

What to expect from your appointment with our Malmesbury Chiropractor

It is important to educate our patients to help them understand what is wrong and how we can make it better. During your initial appointment, your chiropractor will assess your symptoms to determine what are the best chiropractic techniques to use to help you.

A common misconception is that Chiropractic treatment can painful. Our registered chiropractor will ensure you are at ease throughout your entire treatment, explaining what techniques are used on you so you are learning how the techniques we use help you.

What can be included during the treatment?

Treatment may include:

  • Joint manipulation and mobilisation
  • stretches
  • clinical acupuncture
  • soft tissue techniques
  • Advice about posture, working positions and sport

Treatment for Elderly, Pregnant Women and Children

We are frequently asked whether Chiropractic treatment can be used on those who fall within the Elderly, Pregnant, or Child demographics.

Although we would not use all techniques, we would use much gentler versions of mobilisations. In particular for pregnant women our chiropractor will use techniques which don’t put pressure on the abdomen.

What will it cost?

Initial Consultation £60 Dyson / Student – £54
Follow up £45 Dyson / Student – £40.50
